2010 Fall South West College Conference at Latham Springs

Eph. 3:10-11 : 10 in order that now to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies the multifarious wisdom of God might be made known through the church, 11 According to the eternal purpose which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, The church is not something thought of by God after man's fall. The church is actually purposed in God's heart even from eternity past. Regardless of what happens, God still wants a group of people to express Him and glorify Him. However, man fell and God had to recover man back to Himself. Thus through incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and becoming the life-giving Spirit - this processed Triune God can now enter into our human spirit and make home in our hearts. This is the goal of God's economy, from eternity past to eternity future, to gain a group of people joined and knit together to become the universal Body of Christ. Hallelujah!

David a man according to God's heart

Dear readers, When pursuing the book of 1 & 2 Samuel, I felt that I should start this blog up again. Anyway, David as we all know, is a man according to God's heart. How do we know this? We know this through the pslams he wrote. These psalms not only show how deep and profound his knowledge on the scriptures but also how much he enjoyed God while he was sheparding the sheep. You can even say that he praise God when sheparding the flock. Many times, we do not understand why God place us in such a miserable situation even after He shows His great plans for us. Just like in David's place. God placed him to care for the sheep, even after He sent Samuel to annoint David as the new king. If David had an ambitious heart, a heart not for God but for his own vain glory, David would have gathered his own people and wipe of the waning kingship of Saul. But by him not doing things his own way but rather according to the mysterious ways of God, he was able to prove himself a man accordi

The Bible being God's breath

2 Tim 3:16-17 All scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete fully equipped for every good work. The Bible is God's breath. Every word in the Bible is God's breath. God breathes out, we breath in by reading His Word. With this in mind, we also need to see that the Bible is also God's gift to us. Just as we treasure a gift from others, how much more we need to treasure a gift from God. Many of us do not even read the Bible, let alone treasure it. Most of us would buy a Bible and place it on the shelf. Only on Sunday when we want to take it out only we take it off the shelf and blow the dust off it. Is this the way we treat the Bible? Today, we should take the opportunity to read and understand the Bible properly. We are very blessed today to be able to read the Bible whenever we want without fear of persecution. Therefore, let us start treasuring the Bible today

God's Holy People - Being Formed as God's Army to Enter and Possess the Good Land

The journey of the children of Israel in the wilderness is a type of us as God's people in this age. Have you ever tought that God wants to save us as His chosen people so that we may enter into the good land which is typified by Christ. One of the reasons the first generation of the children of Israel did not enter into the good land is because of their having an evil heart of unbelief. Therefore God did not allow them to enter and cause them to wander the wilderness for 40 years until all of the first generation perished in the wilderness. Only Johsua and Caleb from the first generation went into the good land of Canaan. Using the following illustration, we can say that God wants us to enter into Christ as the good land. However to enter into the good land, we need to have faith in God and to put off our old man so that we, as the new creation can enter into the good land. Let us all follow God's will, stand for God's interest on this earth, and have faith in God in this

A little on God's heart

Seeking of this age to taste, And of it have a part. If we only knew, dear Lord, The ways we grieve Your heart. We would come and turn to You With a repenting heart, And would give ourselves to be With you, O Lord, inside the Ark. May our life be filled constantly with the Lord Jesus Himself and let us not be just too caught up in our lives. Let us just go on in the Lord and not be one for ourselves. -2 Tim 2:22-
